Week 15 · Character

Trustworthiness

A trustworthy person is someone others can trust with their things, their words and their tasks without worry.

Why it matters

Trust holds relationships together: people lend us their things, share their thoughts and give us tasks when they know we will take care of them. A child who returns what they borrow and does what they agreed to becomes someone others can rely on. Being trustworthy also means knowing which secrets are fine to keep and which must be told to an adult.
