Respect for elders
Respect for elders and care for younger ones come from the same kind heart.
Why it matters
Grandparents, teachers and older neighbours have a wealth of experience, and a child learns things from them that you won't find in any book. Respecting elders and caring for younger ones are two sides of the same coin: both teach a child to notice and value others. A family where every generation has its place is warmer for everyone.
