Kind words
A kind word costs nothing, yet it warms someone's heart.
Why it matters
Words are powerful: one kind word can brighten someone's day, and one harsh word can hurt. A child who hears encouraging words at home passes them on to friends, brothers and sisters. Teenagers should also remember that online comments are words too, and a real person reads them.
