Week 51 · Relationships
A friendly face and a smile
A smile costs nothing, yet it can brighten someone's whole day.
Why it matters
An open, smiling face tells people that they are seen and welcome, and children learn how to greet others by watching us. Small everyday kindnesses, like a smile, holding a door or showing someone the way, take little effort but make home, school and the street warmer. These habits help a child build warm relationships wherever they go.
